Running your laser with a speed percentage corresponding to the width in inches of your project. If the design to be engraved is 5 inches wide, your max speed should only be 50%. 4” = 40%, 3” = 30% and so on. Anything over 10 inches is fine to run at 100% speed. I found this out after running a bunch of 1” wide projects non stop all day at 100% speed. My x-drive motor burned out and the Epilog tech told me this information.
